Companies can continue using the platform until August 31, 2025. After that, it will only be possible to access already existing data, and by May 31, 2026, Workplace will be fully closed.

When is Meta’s Workplace shutting down?

Meta’s Workplace is scheduled to permanently shut down on June 1, 2026. Here’s a brief timeline of the key dates leading up to the closure:
- September 2024: All subscription tiers will be reduced by 50%.
- September 2025: Companies will no longer be able to upload new content.
- September 2025 to May 31, 2026: The platform will be in read-only mode, allowing only the reading and downloading of existing data. During this period, Workplace will be free.
- June 2026: All data on Workplace will be permanently deleted.

How does implementing Barma work?

When we begin a collaboration, you will go through a mandatory onboarding process.
The onboarding process ensures that you get a training platform that creates value for your employees with minimal maintenance.

Step 1 involves creating a training plan. Here, we determine what and how much learning material the platform should contain, how much you need to create yourselves, and how much you can utilize from our resources. We set up automatic assignments with deadlines, so users are automatically assigned content and notified when a course needs to be taken or is overdue.

Step 2 is conducting superuser training for your key employees. Most of this takes place online on the Barma platform as a course, with a single online follow-up session with your Customer Success Manager (CSM)—exactly how we envision you training your employees. Online training supplemented with in-person follow-ups! :-)

After that, you’ll be well underway. Should anything arise, you’re always welcome to reach out to your CSM!
